Description

Grassgill House is a house dated 1765, constructed of roughcast rubble with an artificial slate roof. It has two storeys and two bays. The central entrance features a part-glazed door set within an ashlar architrave, which is adorned with a pulvinated frieze inscribed with 'H W E' and a cornice supported by modillions. Above the door, there is a decorative plaque that also bears the date 1765. The house has 4-pane sash windows, each framed in ashlar architraves. The structure is completed with shaped kneelers, ashlar copings, and end stacks.
