Description

The Old Vicarage is a house built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a rendered rubble exterior and an artificial slate roof, with a T-shaped plan that includes a minor range at right angles to the rear. The building has two storeys and four bays. In the second bay, there is a six-panel door set in an ashlar surround, which has splayed bases beneath a pulvinated frieze and cornice. The lintel above the door bears the inscription "GOD WITH US AND WE WITH GOD W.H.W. 1870". The fourth bay includes a canted bay window on the ground floor, while the other windows are four-pane sashes in ashlar surrounds. The structure also features kneelers, ashlar copings, and corniced stacks at the ends and between the third and fourth bays.
