Description

No. 4 Lodge Road is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with an extension added in the late 18th century and minor alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a pantile roof with a single axial ridge and gable brick stacks. It has two storeys with a garret and a five-bay front, where the right-hand two bays are a later addition. On the left side, there is a half-glazed door, while to the right are three tripartite casements set under cambered brick heads and a four-panelled door. Both doors are sheltered by 19th-century rustic wooden porches. The first floor has three glazing bar sash windows positioned at the eaves.
