Description

No. 1 Main Street is a cottage dating from the mid 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a pantile roof with a single red brick ridge and whitewashed right gable stacks. The building has a raised eaves band and stands two storeys high with four bays. The doorway is fitted with a plank door. To the left of the doorway, there is a single casement window, and to the right, there are two tripartite casement windows, all of which have ground floor openings under segmental arches. On the upper floor, there is a single Yorkshire sash window and a single casement window to the right.
