Description

No. 15, Farmer Street is an early 18th-century house designed and built for Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. The house is constructed of red brick with a concrete pantile roof and has two red brick gable stacks. The gables are brick-coped with kneelers, and there are dentil eaves and a first-floor band. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway is fitted with a 20th-century door, flanked by single tripartite casement windows. All ground floor openings are set within segmental arches. Above are two similar casement windows. To the left is a single-storey wing, also constructed of red brick and with a concrete pantile roof. A two-storey wing is located to the rear. Following a devastating fire in 1705, much of the village of Bradmore was rebuilt by Sir Thomas Parkyns to his own designs.
