Description

This is a barn located behind number 17, known as Blackcliffe Farmhouse, on Farmer Street. It dates from the early 18th century and was likely designed and built by Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. The barn is constructed of red brick and features a roof made of plain tiles and concrete pantiles. It has brick coped gables with kneelers and is a single storey plus garret, consisting of two bays. There is a large doorway, and to the left, there is a domestic doorway set under a segmental arch. The barn also has blocked slit ventilators. Following a devastating fire in 1705, much of the village of Bradmore was rebuilt by Sir Thomas Parkyns according to his own designs.
