Description
The tower and spire of the former church date from the 13th and 14th centuries. They are constructed from dressed coursed rubble and ashlar. The tower is set on a plinth and consists of two stages: the lower stage is 13th-century dressed coursed rubble with ashlar quoins, while the upper stage is 14th-century ashlar. The parapet features remains of single gargoyles on each side. The 14th-century broach spire has a single rectangular opening at its base. On the west side of the tower, there is a single pointed arched window. The four openings of the bell chamber each contain two trefoil arched lights under a flat arch, although they now lack a mullion. Inside, there is a chamfered arch leading into the tower. Attached to the east side of the tower is a late 19th-century mission church, which is not of special interest. The original church was destroyed by a fire in 1705 that affected much of Bradmore.
