Description
No. 28 Farmer Street is a house that was formerly two houses, dating from the mid-18th century, early 19th century, and early 20th century. The early 19th-century section is built of red brick and has a slate roof, featuring two external red brick gable stacks and dogtooth eaves. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There are remains of an 18th-century first-floor band on the right single bay. The doorway has a panelled door, with single glazing bar sash windows on either side and three similar sashes above. All openings are set under segmental arches. To the right is a lower two-storey, three-bay early 20th-century house, also of red brick, with a plain tile roof and a red brick stack on the right gable. This section has a doorway and various openings. The building is included for its group value only.
