Description

The icehouse in the grounds of Scrivelsby Court dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of red brick. It features a slightly projecting broken down semi-circular headed doorway on the north side, which leads to a large hole in the curved brickwork behind it. The rest of the structure is a large grass-covered mound. Inside, there is an inner doorway with a segmental head that opens into an egg-shaped chamber, which remains intact.
