Description

Village Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone alterations in the 18th and 20th centuries. Originally constructed with mud and stud, it is now finished in painted brick and features a half hipped pantile roof with a single ridge and wall brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a four-bay front. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a half-glazed door flanked by two three-light casement windows. All openings are topped with arched brick heads. The dormer includes a two-light casement with a flat lead roof and iron cheeks. There is evidence of a timber frame, indicated by the rendered site of a former post on the left-hand end and a projecting padstone on the right-hand gable.
