Description

The village pump and its enclosing wall and piers were built around 1857. The pump is made of wood with metal fittings, while the wall is constructed from red brick with ashlar dressings. The square pump casing features an iron handle and a lead spout, along with a decorative cast metal trough. The pump is situated within a three-sided enclosure formed by brick walls that end in brick piers topped with pedimented ashlar coping. This structure is listed for its group value only.
