Description

The gazebo in the grounds of 32B Westgate is a late 18th-century structure that was once part of the garden of The Mansion. It is a tall brick building with a segmental shape and a segmental roof. The interior is plastered and originally featured a seat. It has a moulded wood surround at the top with a stone keystone. The floor is made of knucklebones and flint, which is said to have been laid by French prisoners of war. At the time of the survey, the gazebo was in need of repair and has a slate roof. It is attached to a ramped garden wall.
