Description

This is an 18th-century pair of two-storey brick houses located on the north side of Westgate. They have a steep-pitched pantile roof with two gabled dormers. A painted stone stringcourse runs along the building. The houses feature six windows to the first floor and four to the ground floor, all with hung sash windows containing marginal glazing. The windows are set within wide wooden frames. Segmentally arched doorways with keystones frame entrances to No. 34 at the west end and to No. 36 in the centre, with a passage at the east end. The doors are plain, with six panels to No. 34 and four panels, glazed, to No. 36. Numbers 34 to 38 (even) form a group.
