Description

These are two early 19th-century houses on Westgate. They are three storeys high and built of gault brick, with a wood modillioned eaves cornice. There are six hung sash windows with glazing bars in wooden frames, each with a stucco surround. Two windows are blocked. Each house has a door in a slightly projecting bay to the left; the doors are panelled with two glazed panels on No. 52, and a blocked fanlight above. No. 50 has a fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. The doorcases have moulded surrounds and round arches. Original foot scrapers are present. Nos. 44 to 66 (even) form a group with Nos. 82 and 84.
