Description

The Water Mill at Water Mill Farm is a late 18th-century watermill constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It is a three-storey, two-bay structure featuring two segmental-headed openings on each storey. The end wall has a planked door with a segmental head. Four iron ties with circular plates reinforce the side walls, one of which is dated 1854. Although the weir next to the mill is still intact, the mill race has been filled in and all machinery has been removed. A scar from a lean-to wheel house can be seen on the riverside of the building.
