Description
Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with an extension added around 1830. It is constructed of red brick in both Flemish bond and English garden wall bond of three. The building features a hipped pantile roof with lead dressings and two ridge stacks.
The farmhouse has two storeys and a four-bay front, with the right-hand bay being slightly recessed and an addition. There is a brick band on the first floor of the original house. The entrance consists of an off-centre half-glazed door set in a semi-circular arched surround, located within a brick porch that has brick pilasters and a parapet. Above the door is a worn sandstone datestone.
The door is flanked by single glazing bar sashes, which are set under broad segmental arches within recessed panels that have flat brick arched heads. To the right of the door is another glazing bar sash. On the first floor, there are three similar windows with segmental arched heads, and above the door, there is a blank opening. This farmhouse is part of the Massingberd Candelsby estate.
