Description

Yafforth Lodge is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a graduated Westmorland slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a single-storey outshut to the left. On the left side, there is a panelled door with a fanlight set in a flush wood architrave. The windows on the ground floor are unequally-hung 20-pane sashes, which sit under flat brick arches. The first floor has 16-pane sashes, also under flat brick arches. The building is adorned with shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, and it has ridge and end stacks. The outshut includes a 12-pane side-sliding sash under a flat brick arch and features a stepped roofline with ashlar coping.
