Description

The Old Hall is a house dated 1614. It is constructed of red brick with decorative diapering, and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high, with two gabled bays and a side entrance. Each bay has a five-light double-chamfered mullion and transom window on both the ground and first floors. The mullions and transoms are made of cut brick and have cement dressings. A first-floor window on the left-hand side has been infilled with a 19th-century 16-pane sash window. A small gable is situated in the valley between the bays. Decorative bargeboards with finials were added in the 19th century. A large chimney stack is located between the roof ridges. The left and right returns of the building feature oversailing eaves.
