Description

A pair of late 18th-century houses, altered in the 20th century, located on Skirbeck Road, Boston. The houses are built of red brick in English bond, with pantile and concrete tile roofs, brick coped gables featuring partial tumbling, and a large central ridge stack. The two-storey, four-bay facade is arranged with two bays to each side, featuring a dentilled wooden eaves cornice. The left house has a 19th-century six-panel door with a plain overlight, set within a broad pilastered surround and a flat hood on brackets. A blocked former door opening is present on the right house, alongside a 20th-century doorway. The centre of the facade displays a margin light sash window and a 20th-century three-light casement within a 20th-century opening with a soldier brick course. The first floor has four margin light sashes, and the second floor has four smaller, similar sashes. The interior was not inspected.
