Description
This is an early 19th-century house located on Skirbeck Road in Boston. It is constructed of red-brown brick with stucco dressings and a rendered rear elevation, and has hipped slate roofs with a rear stack.
The house is three storeys high with a three-bay front and overhanging eaves. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a plain overlight, approached by four steps. The door is enclosed by a moulded surround with slender attached half-columns and a moulded hood. Flanking the door are single glazing bar sash windows. The first floor has a tall, semicircular-headed stair window with glazing bars, between single glazing bar sashes on each floor, with the second-floor windows being smaller. The roadside elevation has a single glazing bar sash window on each floor, and the name "St John's Place" is inscribed in stone. All sash windows have cambered heads and splayed stucco lintels.
The interior retains a stick baluster staircase and some original joinery.
