Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres southeast of Old Hall Farmhouse, dates from around 1690 and was partly rebuilt in the 19th century at the right end. It features a timber frame with diagonal braces and brick infill, sitting on a rubble stone base that has been rendered over on the right side. The right bay has been rebuilt in brick, and the roof is covered with corrugated iron from the 20th century. The barn consists of three bays; the right bay has a cart entry that is blocked with corrugated iron, while the centre bay has a 20th-century board door. There are diaper vents in the brick panels, and it has two trusses with raking queen posts, one of which includes queen struts and a collar. The barn is included for its group value.
