Description
Cream Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage with a mid-19th-century rear addition, located at the west end of Main Street in Barsby. The building is constructed of brick and is colourwashed, featuring a steeply pitched corrugated iron roof and a brick plinth. It has two gable stacks and a ridge stack for the rear addition. The cottage is single-storey with attics and consists of two bays in an L-plan layout. The street-facing side has a slightly off-centre doorway with a plank door. To the left of the door is a two-light casement window, and to the right is a three-light casement window, both of which have shutters. All window and door openings have segmental heads. Above these, there are two eaves dormers; the left dormer contains two-light sliding sashes, while the right dormer has three-light sliding sashes.
