Description
Old Oak Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage constructed from timber framing and brick, featuring brick nogging. It has a steeply pitched corrugated iron roof and two gable stacks along with a single ridge stack. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The front elevation includes an off-centre door with a flat hood, which is flanked on the left by a casement window and on the right by a bow window, both of which are from the 20th century. To the right of the bow window, there is another casement window with a segmental head. Above the main entrance, there are two flat-roofed dormers, each containing casement windows. The north gable features a small casement window with a segmental head on the left and a slightly larger similar casement to the right. Above these, there is a 20th-century two-light casement window. At the rear of the cottage, there are two two-light casements with wooden lintels on the left and a smaller single casement on the right.
