Description

Harewell House is a farmhouse and service wing built in the late 18th century, with a mid-19th century addition at the rear. It is constructed of brick and features Swithland slate roofs, a brick plinth, and dentillated eaves. The building has two gable stacks and a single ridge stack on the rear wing, and it is two storeys high plus attics, arranged in an L-plan.

The front of the house has three bays, with a single bay service wing to the right. The central doorway is adorned with a moulded case, a panelled door, and a latticed porch, flanked by two three-light sliding sash windows with segmental heads. To the right, there is a 20th-century casement window. On the first floor, there are three sliding sash windows, with the central one being two-light and the flanking ones three-light, all featuring segmental heads. To the right, there is another three-light sash window. Above these, two flat-roofed dormers contain three-light casements.

On the first floor to the left, there is a shaped stone that is incised with the house name and the initial 'C'. The north gable has a lean-to addition on the right and a casement window on each floor, while the south gable has a 20th-century casement on the left and a slightly off-centre glazing bar casement in the attic. The late 19th-century single-storey rear addition has a 20th-century casement window on the south side.
