Description
Stoneleigh is a house built in 1691, which was re-roofed in the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof, featuring a rubble and brick plinth. The building has a single gable and off-centre ridge stacks, a moulded brick band at the first floor, and dentillated eaves. It stands two storeys plus garrets and has three bays. The street-facing side displays chequered brickwork on the ground floor and diaper work above.
The entrance is off-centre, with a panelled door. To the left of the door is a single window, and to the right are three three-light windows with shutters, all set under flat brick heads. Above the door, there is a blocked opening, with a single window to the left and two three-light windows to the right, all featuring flat brick heads. The windows are Yorkshire sliding sashes with 20th-century leaded glazing. Between the left upper windows, there is a fire insurance plaque and a datestone inscribed 'AW 1691'.
The west gable has a blocked window above and a Yorkshire sash with a segmental head above that. The east gable features a small late 19th-century brick addition, with a small casement window in the garret above.
