Description

Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now without a farm, dated 1718. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and features a 19th-century machined slate roof. The building has an L-plan layout and stands two storeys high with attics. The east side is illuminated by two 2-light timber cross casements on each floor, along with a small attic casement in the south gable head above a date plaque that displays the initials S.A.M. and the date 1718. On the west side, there is a 2-light ground floor cross casement similar to those on the east side. To the left, a cross wing extends from the main structure, entered through a panelled door located in the re-entrant angle. This wing has one 3-light 19th-century casement to the left and a 2-light casement above. Both gabled roofs have internal stacks at each gable end.
