Description
Church Farm is a private house that was formerly a vicarage. The south block dates back to the 17th century, while the rear range was added in the 18th century, and there have been further alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone with pantile roofs and has two storeys plus attics.
The south block features a door, which used to have a pediment, located in the east gable end. To the left of the door is a 3-light 17th-century stone window with ovolo moulding. The other windows are mainly late 20th-century, with one casement window on each floor above. The south front has two sash windows and one casement window, placed irregularly. The west gable has three blocked vertically oriented windows, which were likely originally from the 18th century. The roof is gabled with a stack at the internal west end.
To the north, there is a two-storey cross wing that extends in three wide bays of irregular arrangement. A 20th-century gabled porch leads to the door at the north end of the east side, and the fenestration consists of 20th-century casements. The roof of this section is also gabled, featuring a stack at the north gable end and another ridge stack further south.
