Description
The former stabling at the rear of No 16 Park Road is an early 19th-century building. The main facade on the west side is made of painted brick and features a band. It has two storeys and ten windows, with the northern five windows set forward. The central three windows are topped with a stone-coped pediment, which includes a loft door and flanking windows, along with a cartouche in the tympanum. The southern facade, facing the street, also has a band at the first floor and features two blank windows on the first floor, which were originally sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor now has top-opening lights, and the windows have stuccoed lintels with keystones. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 22 (even), with No 18 noted as a building of local interest.
