Description
Nos 37 and 37A on Nottingham Street are buildings dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They feature a painted brick facade and a slate roof with end chimneys. The buildings stand three storeys tall and have four windows, all with boxed frames and cambered head linings. The first floor has late 19th-century glazing. There is a 19th-century shop front that includes a cornice, enriched pilasters, and a moulded architrave, along with a central door and moulded window frames. On the south side, there is a large segmental arched entrance leading to the rear. Nos 37 and 37A are part of a group that includes Nos 10 to 18 (even) and the White Lion Public House.
