  1. 5305 LEICESTER STREET (South Side) Entrance gates to New Park SK 7519 SW 1/122

II GV

  1. 1907-9 but in mid C18 style. Fine wrought iron gates. 2 centre carriageway gates, separated by tall iron piers with shields and finials, from outer pedestrian gates which have overthrows. Tall polygonal outer stone piers with rusticated plinths and moulded cornices and caps. Wrought iron lamp brackets surmount piers.

Nos 1 to 21 (odd) Nos 25 and 27 form a group with Nos 1 to 3 (consec) Leicester Yard and with the entrance gates and bandstand in New Park, The Golden Fleece Public House and Nos 36A and 38 opposite. (Nos 21, 25, The Golden Fleece Public House and Nos 36A and 38 are buildings of local interest).
