Screen and gates to forecourt of Parker's Buildings (qv). 1889-90. By John Douglas. For the first Duke of Westminster. Wrought-iron. Low stone plinths; open-work iron gateposts with square bars, some "barleysugar" twisted; caps with W (for Westminster); simple finials. Pedestrian gateway to each side; carriage gateway at centre. With square and twisted bars, the gates have dogbars at lower rail and simple scrolls at upper rail. Part of a concerted design with Parker's Buildings and Nos 113 and 117 Foregate Street (qv).
