Description
19 Leicester Road is a late 18th century to early 19th century building featuring a painted brick facade and a slate roof, with an end chimney. The structure stands three storeys tall and has two sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a shop front that was altered in the late 19th or early 20th century. There is a rear entrance on the east side leading to Petts Yard. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 21 (odd), Nos 25 and 27, as well as Nos 1 to 3 in Leicester Yard, the entrance gates and bandstand in New Park, The Golden Fleece Public House, and Nos 36A and 38 opposite. Nos 21, 25, The Golden Fleece Public House, and Nos 36A and 38 are recognized as buildings of local interest.
