Description

17 High Street, including the coach arch under Number 15, is a late 18th-century building. It is constructed of red brick with a classical-style ground floor featuring stucco bands and a well-moulded eaves cornice. The building has a slate roof and stands three storeys tall, with three windows that are three-light sashes separated by pilasters. There is a mid 19th-century bay window at the upper level. Additionally, there is a coach arch located to the east. This building forms part of a group that includes No. 5, Nos. 9 to 21 (odd), No. 11A, and the Coach House at No. 19, alongside No. 4, Nos. 6 and 8 (The George Hotel), and Nos. 10 and 12 (including No. 1 Wilton Place).
