Description
The former coach house at numbers 19 and 21 on High Street dates from the earlier to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features an elaborate bargeboard that is pierced and scalloped. The building has an arched window with original tracery, and the garage doors are topped with a shallow gable that includes a finial and an elaborate bargeboard with low relief carving. This coach house is part of a group that includes number 5, numbers 9 to 21 (odd), number 11A, and forms a cohesive architectural ensemble with number 4, numbers 6 and 8 (The George Hotel), and numbers 10 and 12 (including number 1 Wilton Place).
