Description
17 Leicester Road is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century, featuring a slightly advanced red brick facade and an old slate roof with an end chimney. It stands three storeys tall and has one window on each floor. The windows are sashes with moulded boxed frames, cambered head linings, and glazing bars, except for the ground floor, which has a three-light sash with late 19th-century glazing.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 21 (odd), Nos 25 and 27, as well as Nos 1 to 3 Leicester Yard, the entrance gates and bandstand in New Park, the Golden Fleece Public House, and Nos 36A and 38 opposite.
