Description

The gatepiers located immediately to the north-east of the Lodge in Newton Park date from the early to mid-19th century. They are designed in a Gothic style and are made of cast iron. The central carriageway is flanked by pedestrian entrances. The gatepiers are square and panelled, featuring a moulded base, frieze, and cornice, topped with gabled sections and ball finials.
