Description
The Hayes is a house built in the mid to late 18th century and remodeled around 1830 to 1840. It features ashlar and coursed rubble on the entrance elevation, with a hipped slate roof that has overhanging bracketed eaves and an ashlar chimney stack. The west or garden elevation has three bays, with the central bay projecting as a full-height canted bay that includes three windows and a central French window, all under cambered heads. The windows are glazing bar sash windows. There is a panelled door on the rear elevation, framed by a reeded architrave.
