Description
The Lodge is a mid to late 19th-century building serving as the lodge to Newton Park. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a plain and fish-scale tiled roof. The building has an irregular T-plan with a projecting cross-wing on the right and is designed in a Gothic style. It is a single-storey structure with attics, characterized by steep gables. The windows are a mix of single, two-light, and three-light casements, all set in moulded surrounds with four-centred heads and under dripmoulds. There is a single-storey projection on the left side, and the entrance door is framed by a shouldered surround and sits beneath a stepped parapet in the re-entrant angle.
