Description

The Thatch is a cottage dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a thatched roof with coped raised verges. The building is single storey with attics accessed through swept dormers. It has two bays, plus an additional lower wing on the left side. The windows include 3- and 2-light casements with ovolo moulded surrounds and mullions on the ground floor right, while 19th-century casements are found elsewhere, all with cambered heads on the right side. A central 20th-century door is topped with a stone cartouche.
