Description
Woodbine Cottage and Plumtree Cottage, along with an outbuilding, form a range of two cottages, originally three, dating from the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick, partially whitewashed, and feature a Welsh slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks, totaling four in number. The gable faces the front to the left, and the buildings rise two storeys with six 2-light diamond lattice horizontal sliding sash windows, although one window has been replaced with a two-pane version.
On the ground floor, Woodbine Cottage, located on the left, has similar windows, a glazed porch, a door, and a part-glazed door. Plumtree Cottage features two 2-light casements and a central door. The ground floor windows of Woodbine Cottage have cambered lintels and hood moulds. There is a one-storey extension on the left end, which includes a 2-light window, and a 2-light diamond lattice window on the first floor of the facing gable.
At the rear of Plumtree Cottage, adjacent to the street, stands the outbuilding made of red brick with a rubble stone plinth and a Swithland slate roof. This outbuilding has one storey, featuring a 2-light horizontal sliding sash window and a doorway with double doors, both with cambered lintels.
