Description

The Cottages at Earldoms Farm are semi-detached cottages dating from the mid-18th century, with a late 18th-century addition to the east and a late 19th-century addition to the north. They are constructed of Flemish bond brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. The cottages are two stories high and have three windows. The larger cottage features a planked door in a beaded case with a gabled porch, flanked by two 3-light casements on the left and a 2-light casement on the right. The smaller cottage has a planked door with a segmental head. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements.

To the left, there is a single-storey 19th-century extension with a planked door and a 2-light casement on the return, topped with a half-hipped roof, while the main roof is hipped to the left. At the rear, there is an outshut with a planked door and a mix of 1-light, 2-light, and 3-light casements, along with a late 19th-century two-storey wing featuring 3-light casements. To the right of the front, there is a single-storey 20th-century extension with a flat roof.

Inside, the cottages have planked doors. The west cottage includes chamfered beams with run-out stops and stairs located in the outshut. The east cottage features chamfered beams with ogee stops and stairs in the late 19th-century rear extension.
