Description

Landford Wood House is a farmhouse, now a detached house, dating to the mid-17th century. It was extended in the late 17th century to the east, in the early 19th century to the north, and subsequently altered in the early and late 20th centuries. The house is constructed with square-panelled timber framing, Flemish bond brick with vitrified headers to the east, and has a hipped thatched roof with an axial brick stack. A 17th-century baffle-entry is present.

The main facade is two storeys high and has three windows. A central planked door is set within a beaded case with a gabled porch. To the right is a three-light casement, and to the left are two further casements, one three-light and one single-light. The first floor has two two-light casements and one single-light casement; the right-hand part of the facade has applied pseudo timber framing. The left return features a weatherboarded lean-to extension. The right return has three-light casements to both ground and first floors, with a three-brick plat band at first floor level. The rear of the house features casements and a 19th-century extension, subsequently altered in the 20th century.

The interior retains chamfered beams.
