Description

The main gate piers, walling, and gates at the entrance to Landford Manor are a Grade II listed structure. The gate piers date from the 18th century, while the gates and the attached curved walling are from the 19th century. The gate piers are made of English bond brick and feature moulded limestone caps topped with lead eagles holding cartouches of the Eyre family arms. The cast and wrought iron gates are complemented by attached walls constructed in English bond brick, incorporating some limestone and flint. The end piers of the brick walls are adorned with pineapple finials.
