Description
Aston Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the mid-18th century, with a late 18th-century addition on the left. They feature a rendered plinth and are constructed of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond, topped with a thatch roof. The building has a brick end stack on the right and ridge stacks located to the left and right of the center.
The cottages are single storey with an attic and have a four-window range. To the right of the center is a sash door with a segmental brick head, while to the left of the center is a plank door, also with a segmental brick head. There are three 3-light wood casements with segmental brick heads on the left and right, and two 2-light wood casements with segmental brick heads in the center. A flat brick band runs above the ground floor. The left side features four swept dormers, with three 3-light wood casements on the left and two 2-light casements on the right. The interiors have not been inspected.
