Description

No. 71 is a cottage located on the south side of The Green in Mountsorrel. It dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century and was raised by one storey in the early 19th century. The building is constructed from granite rubble stone, with painted brick on the second floor and a Swithland slate roof featuring a brick end stack.

The cottage has three storeys, with two 3-light horizontal sliding sash windows on each of the upper floors. The first-floor windows are topped with cambered lintels. On the second floor, there is a similar 2-light window to the right. On the ground floor, to the far left, there is a 4-panelled door also with a cambered lintel.
