Description

Two cottages, likely dating from the early 18th century. They are constructed of red brick with a granite rubble stone plinth at ground floor level. The ground floor brickwork originally featured a chequer pattern, though this has been partly altered. A brick band separates the floors, and the eaves are brick. The roof is slate, with brick stacks on the left ridge and right end. The upper floor has three four-over-four sash windows, with panes of varying widths. The ground floor has two similar sash windows and two plank doors, along with a small one-light window to the left, all with cambered lintels. Inside No. 14 is an inglenook fireplace with a hood. Fragments of timber framing are visible on the right-hand end of the building.
