Description

The Village Pump in Mountsorrel is a disused structure dated 1887. It is made of granite and cast iron. The shaft stands approximately 1.5 meters high and is constructed from dressed and rusticated granite, featuring a small drainage basin in front and a pyramid-shaped cap on top. On the side facing the basin, there is a cast iron front that includes a mounting for the spout, the date 1887, and the Lanesborough crest. Additionally, there is a mounting for a handle on the side.
