Description
No. 28 on Church Lane is a house built around 1800. It is made of red brick and features brick dentilled eaves and a Swithland slate roof with brick stacks at both ends. The building has three storeys and displays a series of wooden mullion and transom windows: a 3-light window, a 2-light window, and another 3-light window above a similar 3-light window on either side of a central doorway. The doorway has a 6-panelled door and an overlight. On the second floor, there is a 3-light centre-opening casement window flanked by 2-light casement windows. The windows are topped with gauged brick lintels. To the left, there is a 2½ storey extension that projects forward, featuring 2/2 sash windows on both floors and a Welsh slate roof.
