Description
The barn and outbuildings at numbers 24 and 28 on Church Lane in Thrussington date from around 1800 and the early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick featuring dentilled eaves and moulded brick eaves, with a roof made of Swithland slate, Welsh slate, pantile, and corrugated materials. The buildings are arranged in an L shape, with the barn located to the right of No. 28. The barn has a large central open doorway at both the front and rear, with ventilation diamonds to the right.
To the right, there is a two-storey range of outbuildings that includes four open brick arches, a double door, and two partly boarded windows. Above this, there are three three-light horizontal sliding sash windows, a nine-pane fixed light, a louvred window, and a loft door. The outbuilding that faces Church Lane is part of No. 24 and features doors, double doors, and louvred windows on its right side. These structures are included for their group value.
