Description

Old Hall Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700, with a date of 1747 marked on the rear left wing and mid-19th century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, with the front whitewashed, and features bands and a moulded brick cornice on the wing. The roof is made of Swithland slate, with Welsh slate on the rear span, and includes brick and valley stacks.

The front elevation is two storeys high and has three renewed casements: one light, two light, and three light, situated above a three-light window on either side of a doorcase that contains a part-glazed door. The rear wing is two and a half storeys tall, with a gable end facing the street. It features two two-light casements above a three-light window at the rear, along with a boarded attic window. On the side, there is a three-light horizontal sliding sash window above a two-light casement.

At the right end of the house, there is a small canted bay and a combination of two-light and one-light windows facing the Churchyard of the Holy Trinity. The rear also has two-light horizontal sliding sash windows. Notably, the rear wing has a tablet between the first-floor windows inscribed with 'E.W. 1747'.
